A PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY EXPLORING THE FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCES OF NEOPHYTE NURSES IN TAIWANLi-Hung Lee, RN. Although Taiwanese nursing researchers have started to investigate the reasons why neophyte nurses’ leave A_phenomenological_study_exploring_the_first_year_experiences_of_neophyte_nurses_in_Taiwan their jobs, most of the studies use quantitative research methodologies. Consequently, we still know very little about how neophyte nurses experienceA_phenomenological_study_exploring_the_first_year_experiences_of_neophyte_nurses_in_Taiwan

Therefore, in order to comprehensively understand more about the phenomenon of neophyte nurses’ experiences followA PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY EXPLORING THE FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCES OF NEOPHYTE NURSES IN TAIWANLi-Hung Lee, RN. Prior to entering work and during their first year of practice, the neophytenurses felt hesitant. This period of hesitation has not yet been fully discovered either in Taiwanese literature or in that of th A_phenomenological_study_exploring_the_first_year_experiences_of_neophyte_nurses_in_Taiwan e English-speaking countries. This is relevant to our understanding of the experiences of the neophyte nurses. When the participants started nursing,A_phenomenological_study_exploring_the_first_year_experiences_of_neophyte_nurses_in_Taiwan
they experienced a hard beginning period. They learnt through tears, felt frustrated but also gained others' support.
