A study about land use change along with the self-employed workers' perception towards land use changes were carried out in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi, Vietnam. Three Landsat images were acquired including Landsat 5 TM. respectively. The result of the study shows that the built-up lands have increased and remained to be the dominant land among land use types in 2017.
