to learn about and analyze Maine’s system of home- and communitybased services. From these interested parties, a smaller 18-member Lean Core Team was Services for Elders and other Adults Who NeedLong-Term Home- and Community-Based CareA Report to 124th Maine Legislature by theMaine Department of Hea Private-HE-full-final-with-amendmentsgust through December 2009. Work groups have begun to meet to address the Implementation Plan. See AppendixDHHS also convened a Direct Care Worker Task Force to address worker-related issues identified in the four bills. See Appendix Ê- The Task Force included more than a dozen participants who met Private-HE-full-final-with-amendmentsin five half-day meetings beginning in October 2009.
