Appendix 1: Secondary data (Solidarity dossiers in CIRCA database)The adoption of Council Directive 97/3/Econ on 20!h Jan 1997 - amending Council Dire D_5.1_Eradication_campaigns_Appendices_FINALective 77/93/EEC (now Council Directive 2000/29/EC) - introduced a system of EC financial contribution to assist Member States (MS) which incur expenditure paid from public funds in combating organisms harmful to plants and plant products. In order to make claims, MSs have to submit dossiers each ye D_5.1_Eradication_campaigns_Appendices_FINALar, for each single harmful organism (HO). Such dossiers contain a wealth of technical and financial detail relating to eradication or containment camD_5.1_Eradication_campaigns_Appendices_FINAL

The conditions concerning eligibility for claims are provided in ‘Guidelines for the submission of a solidarity dossier under Article 23 of Council directive 2000/29/EC (Rev.6)'. The minimum claim that can be made, is now 50,000 Eu D_5.1_Eradication_campaigns_Appendices_FINALros, but prior to 2005 It was 25,000 Euros.
