National College for School LeadershipExecutive summaryUniversity technical colleges (UTCs), studio schools and free schools are the three new types of school whose leadership is studied in this report. Discussions to establish UTCs and studio schools establishing-and-leading-new-types-of-school-fullhad started before 2010, and the first UK opened in September 2010, with another in 2011 and three more in 2012. Six studio schools opened in 2011 andestablishing-and-leading-new-types-of-school-full
